    The Child Development Center Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of First Burleson’s Child Development Center. They will work closely with the Children’s Minister to ensure the Child Development Center program supports the vision and culture of First Burleson.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

    • Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Suite, ProCare, Social Media

    THE WORK:

    • Develop a curriculum and program that supports First Burleson

    • Keep the CDC program up to date with State Minimum Standards

    • Oversee CDC Staff

    • Manage Facilities

    • Create an annual CDC Budget

    • Promote the CDC Program in the Community

    • Communicate well with parents and teachers.

    Promises Community Ministries seeks to minister to various needs of our community. One of the ways we do this is through the operation of a self-select food pantry that focuses on bringing a level of dignity and respect to the various people who come through our doors. We are seeking an individual who desires to help us make a difference in the lives of people and show the love and mercy of Christ to our community through the simple means of helping them to provide food for their family or themselves.

    Requirements:

    Valid Driver's License and willingness to drive a small box truck.

    Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis by oneself and the ability to lift more with assistance.

    Attain a Food Handler’s License within 3 months of employment as well as any other certifications needed.

    Ability to stand for 6 hours at a time.

    Responsibilities:

    Receiving and Processing of Inventory: This aspect of the job includes the potential tasks of driving the company vehicle to pick up food orders, weighing food donations from local stores and recording the weights, sorting and evaluating food donations for quality, and other tasks related to the receiving of food orders and donations.

    Stocking and Tracking of Inventory: This aspect of the job involves taking the food that comes in and keeping it organized in the storage parts of the warehouse, keeping the walk-in units organized, as well as helping to keep the shelves and the refrigeration units in the shopping area full of product, and informing the person/people in charge of ordering food what items are needed.

    Routine Cleaning: This aspect of the job includes following a cleaning schedule to help keep tables, carts, and other areas cleaned and sanitized for the safety of food and the appearance of the facility.

    Manage men’s labor crew: Manage and oversee the men who handle the receiving of deliveries as well as the pickup of items. Must ensure our pickups and deliveries are handled in a timely manner.
