WELCOME!

I was born in Slaton, TX. outside of Lubbock. Our family moved to Mesquite, TX where I graduated from North Mesquite High School. My first year of college, I attended and played basketball at Eastfield Jr. College. My sophomore year I transferred to Howard Payne University where I studied theology and prepared for ministry. During my time at HPU, I met my wife, Robin. I served as a part-time youth minister at First Baptist Sidney, TX. 

I graduated Howard Payne, married Robin, and moved to Dallas to study theology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth. While attending seminary, I accepted the call as a part-time youth minister at Northlake Baptist Church in Lake Highlands. I graduated after three years with a master’s in theology. God called me to Shady Oaks Baptist Church in Hurst, as a youth minister. During our 8 years of ministry at Shady Oaks, our three children, Molly, Morgan, and Ryan were born.

We moved to Dripping Springs where I served as the pastor of Sunset Canyon Baptist Church. God then called me back to Shady Oaks as pastor. I re-enrolled at Southwestern Seminary where I earned a Doctor of Ministry degree. Next God called me to First Baptist Corpus Christi then to First Baptist Temple. In 2016 God called me to be the Lead Pastor at First Baptist Burleson.

For fun I like playing and watching sports, hunting, fishing, weightlifting, reading, going to movies, and eating out. 

God has blessed our family tremendously and He has allowed us to serve in awesome churches. We still have close friends in every church we served.
